Admissions Chances Baylor University has selective admissions, with approximately one-half of applicants admitted. Accepted students tend to have above average grades and standardized test scores. The majority of successful applicants had self-reported average high school grades of B or higher, SAT scores of 1050 or higher, and ACT composite scores of 21 or higher. The university will be looking at more than grades; the school is also interested in the rigor of your high school courses. They look for applicants  who have taken challenging college preparatory courses such as Advanced Placement, IB, and Honors. Students with high grades in difficult courses will have an edge over students who didnt challenge themselves in high school. Some of Baylors programs have specific requirements: music and theatre majors must audition while pre-med, pre-dental, and engineering programs have higher GPA requirements than the university as a whole.
